AVIARY HILL – The winner of this week’s Panarottis Pizza Bust is Dr Harry Greaves and his wife Enelle, nominated by Susan Roux.
“The reason I have nominated Dr Greaves and his wife Enelle, is because the two of them walk the streets of Aviary Hill before 6am every morning with shopping bags, picking up the rubbish that get dumped and thrown out of cars. They have even cleaned the area at Nagtegaal Street where the grass was cut by the Newcastle Municipality. I just feel the people of Newcastle should be proud of their town, and if everyone takes care of their street and pavement, we won’t see people walking around picking up other people’s trash”
As a positive initiative to honour people who make a difference in the Newcastle community, Panarottis Newcastle are encouraging people to nominate someone who deserves a pat on the back for their hard work.
All you have to do is nominate one of the town’s unsung heroes – it’s as easy as that!
Be sure to forward your nominations to reveshni@caxton.co.za, and help recognise deserving people.
