Heard the usual complaint that there is ‘never anything to around here’? Yes, it is an old one.
But this weekend there is no excuse to be bored to tears.

Tear away from the TV and get out and enjoy a weekend of lots of entertainment and fun right on your doorstep.
The Endumeni Winter Festival is in full swing at the Kallies Stadium until Sunday. There is sport: football, cricket, volleyball, chess and a merry go around that will keep the kids entertained for hours. Plenty to eat and drink and the organisers have promised a safe, family environment.

Upside down flying..

Local residents have a great lover for aviation. The 17th annual Fly-In takes place this weekend at Battlefields Country Lodge on the Vryheid road. The action starts today and runs through to Sunday morning. Plenty to eat and drink and entrance is free. An array of interesting aircraft to view and for a price you can even catch a ride in one!


Then there is the official opening of the new indoor Action Cricket arena next to the SPCA in the industrial area. This modern facility is bound to offer enthusiasts a great venue for plenty of cricket action. Check this out on Saturday.

For sports lovers, Dundee’s Sentraal rugby team take on Volksrust at home at Dundee High on Saturday afternoon with both the first and second teams in action. So get out and taste some local entertainment.
