Legends came to Dundee ten years ago and the paper made international news

Three people tragically lost their lives ten years ago, when they were flung of the back of a bakkie.
The trio were travelling on the back of a bakkie traveling on the Dundee/ Helpmekaar Road, when the driver and passenger in the front seat.
The passenger accused the driver of having an affair and grabbed the steering wheel. They lost control of the vehicle which then crashed in the veld.

The Courier also made news in The Courier; The Dundee Courier in Scotland that is. A Scottish local who visited the area, was surprised to find that, much like his home, the paper was also the Dundee Courier.
Otto Kunene appeared in court for a second time after he was charged with sexual harassment. Mr Kunene, the Umzinyathi District Municipality’s Municipal Manager, was suspended with full pay and was granted bail of R2 000.

South African singing sensations, Eden, also wowed locals when they held a concert at the Dundee Show Grounds Hall. Not sure who Eden is? You may know this song:
Eden were not the only legends who grace Dundee though.
Clive Rice, the South African all rounder, made a surprise visit to the golf club.
Rice ended his First Class cricket career with a batting average of 40.95 and a bowling average of 22.49. He passed away in 2015.
