We spend a ton of money consulting psychiatrists, who ask that one question, over and over again: “So, tell me, how does that make you feel?”
So, medication may be recommended, but sometimes it makes you feel worse than you did before.
So, you keep to yourself, until finally, you manage to completely isolate yourself from the entire world.
Now, I am not telling you to suck it up. I am telling you to get it together and follow these five natural, simple, powerful daily activities to have you feeling happier in no time.

Five natural ways to beat depression on a Monday:
- 1. Arrange a coffee date with your bff:
A good coffee date with your best friend is probably the best remedy for depression. By opening up and talking about what makes you unhappy, you will feel better about the situation.

- 2. Go for a long walk:
Going for a nice, long walk helps clear your mind of bad thoughts. It helps you concentrate, and gives you a more clearer perspective on things. This, along with number one, is a sure way kicking depression to the curb.

- 3. Make a list of what makes you unhappy in life:
Draw up a list of all the things making you unhappy in your life right now. Make sure to add circumstances, as well as people. After you have drawn up that list, come up with ways of eliminating those problems, even if it means breaking ties with some not so good for you friends.
This is how you beat depression!

- 4. Keep calm and breathe:
When a person reaches their breaking point, the obvious is to just lose it. However, try to remain calm.
Walk away, count to ten, and then come back and sort out the problem.
Talking out of anger is a recipe for disaster. Join a yoga or meditation class to also help keep you calmer in life.

- If all else fails, remember there are various organisations who can help you overcome your depression. Speak to family and friends, and come up with a solution that will work well for you.
