Mazda Newcastle unveiled the all new Mazda CX-5 at a spectacular launch on Saturday, June 3.
The fully redesigned model was said to refine every element of Mazda’s design and technology, in order to offer new dimensions of driving pleasure.
Touted as ‘an SUV all customers will enjoy’, the CX-5 is engineered in line with human sensibilities to deliver a unique responsive performance, designed to conform to the expectations of the driver.
The CX-5 also prioritises passenger comfort, with a quiet cabin and pleasant ride-feel. The exterior has been specially designed to be both bold and sensual, with body colour lineups including Soul Red Crystal, which highlights the beauty and quality of the design.
Mazda has a long history of making the impossible, possible. The steering is nicely weighted and pitched just right, to make the most of the good level of grip on offer. Despite a small increase in weight over its equivalent petrol-powered predecessor, and measures to improve refinement, it still feels agile for an SUV.
It’s also more practical, as boot space has grown to 506 litres with 20 litres more under the floor. It’s roomy in the rear, with ample leg and headroom for six-foot-tall passengers,
