Women empowering women
A women empowerment event tackled various issues such as challenges faced by women in the business world, rape, toxic marriages/ relationships, single parenthood and many more.
WOMEN from all around Vryheid gathered at King Shenge Village on Saturday to reflect on how they conquered the tough adversities life has thrown at them.
The event, hosted by Nqobile Mkhize, tackled various issues such as challenges faced by women in the business world, rape, toxic marriages/ relationships, single parenthood and many more.
Having survived a toxic marriage herself that left her distraught and bankrupt and thereafter struggling through a physically abusive relationship that left her with two children, Nqobile decided to pick herself up, dust off the negative and create a better life for herself.
“I wanted to let women out there know that they are enough, that no matter what they have gone through, they still have the power to overcome and rise above their adversities,” said Nqobile.
Women shared how they had combated their challenges and how instead of feeling sorry for themselves, they had decided to use their stories to inspire other people.
