GALLERY: Umkomaas senior citizens enjoy a day with sister branch, Nofta
Approximately 58 members from the Craigieburn centre enjoyed the day with Nofta members as they indulged in good food and laughs.
The Newcastle Organisation for the Aged (Nofta), recently hosted its sister branch, Craigieburn’s senior citizens from Umkomaas at its centre on November 22.
Chairman of Nofta, Rajesh Ramdaw enlightened members about the importance of adhering to the standards set out by the Department of Social Development.

“By hosting members from other senior citizen organisations, we help them to showcase their talents. They also socialise with like-minded people and in turn learn from each other,” he said.
Approximately 58 members from the Craigieburn centre enjoyed the day with Nofta members as they indulged in good food and laughs.
“Nofta provided full meals for all the members that attended,” concluded Ramdaw.
The programme for the day consisted of dances, sketches, and songs for the enjoyment of the crowd.
