But on the bright side you will be getting to love the life you dreamed about. Some of the things you can think about when considering life directions are questions like, what’s working in my life? What’s not working? What direction I want to go in? What things do I want to have happen in my life? What new things or ideas I want to explore? What kind of person do I really want to become?

By thinking about these points first, you can then come up with changes that you want. This method opens up way more possibilities.
Also you will be enriching your life entirely not just with one goal aimed at bettering your health for example.

A goal is more about having a very specific task you want to achieve. Having a direction is more about how to change your life so that you are growing and learning and becoming the person you want to be. You will have goals but the goals will change as you move towards your direction.

There is less of a chance on “failing” because it’s a direction. I think it’s important to have a good idea of what type of life you want and what you want to be doing in your life because if you don’t stop to think about it, then you’ll just end up reacting to whatever life brings. Don’t stop chasing the life you dream of.
