People left in a good mood and with a warm heart after a great show

The Ladysmith Gazette’s 2018 Toys for Joy drive kicked off last night (February 14) in grand style with Karlien van Jaarsveld performing at Naunton’s Guest House to a large crowd.
Guests started arriving in their numbers at about 6.30pm with platters of snacks for the night.
Karlien began her performance at 7.30pm to help raise funds for Toys for Joy, a charity drive that has been run by the Ladysmith Gazette for the last seven years and helps approximately 100 families in the Ladysmith area.

The pop star’s energetic performance was greatly enjoyed by those who attended, even the young children who had come with their parents.
There was also an auction of sponsored items that really got the adrenaline pumping, as people battled it out to be the top bidder. Items on auction included a sunglasses hamper, a bottle of wine, a gift basket, a Valentine’s cake and a game drive for four people. The money raised also went to Toys for Joy.
People left in a good mood, having been thoroughly entertained, and with a warm heart in the knowledge that they had contributed to a good cause.
