#Bloemfest to make musical history in Vryheid
With three of the biggest locally acclaimed bands in Vryheid coming together to complete the spectacular line up for the event, there is something to suit everyone at Bloemfest, the very first music festival of its kind in Vryheid.
WHAT do you get when you combine camping, exquisite scenery and great local bands? Bloemfest, that’s what!
With three of the biggest locally acclaimed bands in Vryheid coming together to complete the spectacular line up for the event, there is something to suit everyone at Bloemfest, the very first music festival of its kind in Vryheid.
From March 3 to 4, the banks of Bloemveld will be abuzz with live music and what looks set to be a magnificent vibe as patrons gather to enjoy the local talent and simultaneously make a contribution to charity, just by purchasing their tickets to the event and having a good time.

Tickets are on sale now at R100 per person (or R150 per person at the gate) and all profits will be donated to Vryheid SPCA, a cause that is especially close to the heart of event organiser, Khalia Schmitting.
“I love dogs and cats,” she says compassionately. “If I could adopt them all, I would. But the least we can do is support the dedicated people who take care of the neglected and abandoned animals at Vryheid SPCA. And why not have some fun while we do just that?”
The festival will take place at Bloemveld Dam and patrons can expect clean camping and ablution facilities, complete with braai facilities and around the clock security for peace of mind. Braai packs will be on sale for those who would like to braai during the evening, as well as fast food for those who prefer, including breakfast the following morning. Electrical points are available at most of the campsites but bring your own extension cords in order to utilise these.
So bring your tents and your camping gear and be a part of music history in Vryheid.
