Once Refentse performed his last song on stage, the night took a romantic turn, when Jaco van Vuuren surprised his girlfriend Hannelie, and proposed marriage to her in front of everyone.
Sensational artist Refentse Morake performed LIVE at the Newcastle Winter Festival last night (April 26).
Refentse who is originally from Vereeniging in Johannesburg, is popular in the Afrikaans community.

In 2015, Refentse made waves on the internet when he was recorded singing De la Rey and Laurika Rauch’s hit, Lisa se Klavier. Soon after the video’s were uploaded to the internet, Refentse became a viral sensation.
Crowds at the Winter Festival sang along to well-known Afrikaans music, as well as his renditions of other famous South African songs.

The blushing Hannelie, said ‘yes’ and the two love-birds sealed their commitment with a kiss.
