VIDEO: History comes alive at Isandlwana re-enactment

The exciting end to the battle caught on camera

The British and the Zulu did battle once again under the shadow of the Isandlwana mountain as the 140th anniversary of the battle was commemorated.

The event was marked once again by a reenactment watched by King Goodwill Zwelithini, Chief Mangosuthu Buthelezi and KZN Acting Premier, Sihle Zikalala.

This year, historian Ian Knight, narrated the battle, adding to the atmosphere.

A delegation of visitors from Wales was also present at the reenactment, headed by Colonel Tim Von Rees, a former member of the Royal Welsh Infantry.
