Join us at the Môrester party this Saturday

A massive party, to be held this Saturday (March 2), has been organised to celebrate the return of the Môrester children to Ladysmith. The party, which will kick off at 12pm, is open to the public. You are welcome to join the children in a traditional bring ‘n braai, which will be held at the sports ground at the home.

Members of the public are urged to come and give the children a true Ladysmith welcome.

“Let them know you care. They have been through a terrifying ordeal and need your help adjusting,” said Môrester Children’s Home director Lizette van Niekerk.

While sweet hampers, fun entertainment and music may not help the children fully forget their traumatic ordeal, being in a loving environment with the community all supporting them will go a long way.

Staff from the Ladysmith Gazette will be joining hands with the rest of Ladysmith’s service clubs, church organisations and you, the community, in making this the best party the children have ever had.
