Dannhauser’s Mahendra to receive Artes Award
Huge achievement awaits local artist
Dannhauser’s own, Mahendra Shamapersadh,is among of list of proudly South African artists who will receive a coveted Artes Award today.
Mahendra, who has been singing from the tender age of five, has numerous albums to his name, has been featured on Lotus FM and has his own band, Levana Sungeeth.

The Artes Awards was established in 1969 and awarded to artists who kept their cultural heritage alive.
The awards are presented at the at the annual Big M Entertainment Festival and Artes Awards in Durban every year.
For Mahendra, it is a huge achievement to be recognised on such a big scale.
