Watch: A wonderful evening of music and dancing

The Young Hindu Cultural Service Society (YHCSS) hall was the place to be last weekend.
A huge audience gathered for the Amrithvani Show, with everyone on their feet the entire night. The Amrithvani Show Band is from Pietermaritzburg, but they are often booked for weddings and other occasions in Ladysmith.
Hence the band has garnered a large following in Ladysmith, where they are known for their ability to really get a crowd going with their upbeat rhythms.
The show was organised by the YHCSS in aid of raising funds to complete their community hall.
Local dance schools were also part of the entertainment, showing off well-choreographed routines that had everyone in the hall clapping and cheering in appreciation.
Active participation from the audience certainly added to the success of the event.
A fully-stocked tuck shop made sure that no one went hungry while lapping up the musical magic on stage.
