Market raises tens of thousands of Rand

The Newcastle Central Methodist Church hosted an Easter Market on Saturday (March 30), at the Majuba Lodge.
A total of 33 stalls offered various services to the attendees.
With everything on sale from sizzling burgers to books, jewellery to other handicrafts, plus jumping castles for the children, organiser Gerald Goslett said more than R13 000 was raised through the course of the day.
The weather also stayed favourable for the duration of the market day.
“Thanks to Norbert Kade of the Pint & Pigout for the supply of electricity and Denzil Hopkins of Majuba Lodge for the use of the arena.
“Thank you also to the public, who supported us with stalls and food items,” concluded Goslett.
