How to keep your children busy and entertained

Moms especially will have the mammoth task of keeping their children amused while driving to their destination.

The Easter holidays are upon us, beginning today, and many families will be travelling long distances to see their loved ones, or just having a holiday break.

Moms especially will have the mammoth task of keeping their children amused while driving to their destination.

Mother of two in Newcastle, Chantall Meikle-Braes said she is ready for all the travelling and has a few tips on how the little ones can be kept entertained:

“I have two daughters. My 12-year-old doesn’t give us any problems when travelling and to keep busy on the road, she has her tablet and cellphone to play games on. We also pack enough snacks when preparing for a long drive. My one-year-old definitely needs more attention and care.
I pack a lot of food for her and prepare her formula and have plenty of liquids. Wet wipes are also a must have.”

She added that toys are always a great idea.

“When travelling long distance, my youngest also has toys hanging above her car seat and attached on the seat to play with. We can also sing and make the drive even more fun for them. Whatever you do, do not distract the driver’s attention from the road.”
