The camp itself also offers a cosy atmospheric pub with log fire and a gorgeous picnic site that are designed to offer guests a place of relaxation.

The park has more than 60 grass species and veld flowers that can be seen throughout the summer months. The ouhout tree is common in the park and is a prime habitat for as many as 117 beetle species. One could also encounter forest shrews, hedgehogs, hares, duikers, black wildebeest, black-backed Jackals, zebra, silver foxes, genets, and various antelope on hikes and game drives through the park.

It is a place where you can do as much or as little as you want. You could even just sit on your veranda with a good book and admire the gorgeous views around you.

But for those who want to get out and explore, the Golden Gate National Park has an array of exciting adventures to enjoy; including abseiling, canoeing, open-vehicle game drives, hiking, nature walks, horse riding, and swimming.
