Newcastle Oval Track held a special fundraising event, filled with colour.

The Colour Run Family Fun Day took place on June 23, at the Oval Track and runners took on the 5km race around the track.

Newcastle Oval Track Media Liaison member, Zaakirah Khan, said they were happy about the turnout, considering the weather was a bit cool.

“This is one of our great fundraising events, where we we bring together families and friends for a day of fun, especially now in this chilly winter weather where most people tend to be indoors. It’s good to see many people out and supporting this initiative. We aim to do it quite often during the year and hopefully we grow from here.”

The day was filled with music and fun while the children enjoyed the play areas under the watchful eyes of their parents.
