The 12 young men, mostly from Estcourt and surrounding areas, will be playing matches as well as taking in some of the sights.
Family members have been tasked with raising the funds required for the trip, which includes accommodation and flights.
In order to make the dream come true for their sons, parents are embarking on various fundraising drives. One such event will be taking place at the Estcourt Moth Club this Saturday.
A fundraiser, which includes supper and live music with Alex Licen, will be held to raise funds for Tristan Moolman and Jordan Licen. Locals are encouraged to support this fundraiser, which will bring the boys a step closer to this once in a lifetime opportunity.
“The Sri Lanka tour is very exciting and special for the boys as this would be their first international tour,” said Mrs Licen.
For more information or to purchase a ticket call or WhatsApp Mrs Licen on 082 557 7374.
