“This idea sparked after seeing the positive impact it had on my teenaged children. It has helped shape their dreams after joining modelling agencies earlier this year,” explained organiser Mrs Sindi Chamane.

She hopes to see more youth from the Wembezi community being exposed to this kind of activity, with the aim of grooming and shaping them to become role models who will help fight social economic issues such as teenage pregnancy and drug abuse.

The pageant will focus on teaching youngsters how to look after themselves and is set to take place on December 14 at the Wembezi Community Hall.

There will be three categories, namely Juniors (six to 12 years old), Teens (13 to 17) and Seniors (18 to 25). For more information, contact Mrs Sindi Chamane on 073-311-4780, 071-918-3529 or 079-461-6074.
