Dundee artist pays tribute to Joseph Shabalala

Homeless - as only Lucky can

Dundee musician, Lucky Mathambo, paid tribute to legendary South African singer and artist, Joseph Shabalala, who rose to fame with Ladysmith Black Mambazo.

While playing music in Spar during last Friday to mark Valentine’s Day. Lucky gave an emotional rendition of Homeless.

Joseph Shabalala will be buried on Saturday after passing away on February 11, aged 78.

President Cyril Ramaphosa has declared a special official funeral category 2 in honour of  the late founder of choral group Ladysmith Black Mambazo.

The special official funeral category 2 entails ceremonial elements provided by the South African Police Service.
