Thank you to all who entered our SuperDad Competition in conjunction with Battle Creek Spur.

Such was the level of the entries, that we couldn’t decide on just one winner in the writing category. Congratulations to Pariksha Sewpaul and Mahnaz Orie who won vouchers for their written work.

Late nights, early mornings traumatic scenes, he had seen it all. My dad has been a paramedic for more than 30 years. He has saved countless lives and fulfilled his duties in every way. My dad is not only a super hero because he saves many lives but also because he has touched many lives. He does his best and works with passion. As Abraham Lincoln said the next thing to creating a life, the finest thing a man can do is save one. My dad is a true superhero on duty and off duty, as many times he came to the rescue of many individuals off duty. – Pariksha Sewpaul.

He is my closest friend, biggest confidant, protector, advisor, and my best cheerleader ever! When mum says no, I turn to DAD so he can get into trouble for saying YES. My DAD pampers me a lot and treats me like nothing less than a little Princess. He can never be angry with me for a long time as forgiveness comes easy to him. My DAD has the biggest heart ever. He is my superhero because he teaches me everyday that I should be treated with love, respect and gentleness, which will allow me to grow into a strong and independent woman. I love and admire my SUPERHERO DAD. – Mahnaz Orie.

A huge congratulations also goes out to Uminathi Mchunu who wins the drawing category of our competition.
