Make a simple and fun popcorn craft with your kids

Popcorn is not only yummy to eat, but it is also a great, low-cost material for making cute crafts for kids.

Saturdays often mean plenty of leftover popcorn from Friday’s family movie night. Why not help your child make a corn stalk work of art, using popcorn pieces! This craft is great for toddlers and preschoolers.

What you need

  • Glue stick/ Glue bottle
  • Marker
  • Scissors
  • Green and yellow paper
  • Popcorn

How to make it

  1. Cut a corn shape out of the yellow construction paper.
  2. Draw lines horizontal and vertical with an orange marker.
  3. Cut the husk part out of green paper. It can be any shape you want!
  4. Put dots of glue big enough for the popcorn to stick all over the corn.
  5. Have the kiddos stick pieces of popped popcorn onto the glue dots.
  6. Glue some popcorn seeds randomly on the project to finish it.
