Community assistance required for re-burial of fallen classmates

A group of former learners from the Mabatho Primary School, who were involved in a bus accident on October 3, 1996, are seeking assistance from the community for the re-burial of their classmates whose graves are currently at the Walter Sisulu cemetery.
According to BJ Mosela, a former teacher of Mabatho, the graves of their beloved classmates became dilapidated over time and are situated in a waterlogged area. “We believe it is essential to provide them with a dignified and respectful resting place.”
Therefore, we humbly request the community to assist by means of donations in exhuming and re-burial of our deceased classmates at a more suitable site. “We believe this would be a fitting tribute to their memory and a way to honour their lives. We kindly request that individuals, organisations or community groups with the necessary expertise and resources consider supporting this endeavour,” Mosela said. We would be grateful for any assistance with the exhumation and re-burial services, financial assistance for five families pertaining to their rites (as required), and identification of the grave site.
