Murder: Suspects sought

The identity of the deceased is currently unknown.

Parys detectives are appealing to the public to assist in identifying the body of an unknown  woman that was recovered from the Vaal River at Parys.

According to police spokesperson Sergeant Josephine Rani, members of the Parys community on Monday, April 20, at about 06:30, reported a body seen floating in the Vaal River at Grewar laan.

Police attended the scene. Upon arrival, they recovered the body of the woman in the river.

The deceased is described as an African female, approximately 30 years old.  Her hands were bound above her head with cable ties, and her feet were tied with a rope. She was wearing a pink shirt written beginners, her pants and underwear were torn and she was also wearing  white adidas tekkies.

The identity of the deceased is currently unknown.

Police are appealing to anyone who may know the identity of the deceased or who can assist in locating her next of kin to contact  Detective Sergeant Elias Tshabalala on 0825543041/ 0825276793 or Crime Stop on 08600 10111.
