Mica Parys taking hands with hospital staff to make a difference
What a difference this combined effort has made!
Behind a new coat of paint on the walls and ceilings of Parys District Hospital’s Casualty Department is an inspiring story of hope. A story of selfless collaboration, driven by a passion to make a difference.
The past week, the result of hours of hard work and dedication was seen, after hospital staff members and Mica personnel rolled up their own sleeves to paint the walls and the ceilings.
The amazing story started with the caring spirit of hospital staff, who wanted to make Casualty neat and welcoming again for patients.
They approached Mica Parys for assistance with paint. The staff’s enthusiasm was so contagious that Mica Parys not only provided the necessary materials, but also came after work to lend a helping hand with the painting themselves. What a difference this combined effort has made!

The project was co-ordinated by Desmond Radebe, Health and Safety Officer at Parys District Hospital, and Mitchell Gilliland, with Mica leaving no stone unturned to ensure a complete transformation.
Despite the often-challenging conditions under which hospital staff have to work, this exceptional gesture of care deserves recognition from the community and stands as proof of how a community can work together in making a difference.
On Wednesday, Me Malanga, CEO of Parys District Hospital, expressed her, and the hospital personnel’s gratitude towards Laura Sieberhagen and the amazing team from Mica Parys for their unwavering support for the hospital.

To top it all, Parys District hospital also received new beds and blankets from the Department of Health the previous week, Me Malinga said.
