Happy brings happiness to town for Tekkie Tax Day

Happy, the Tekkie Tax mascot was in town the past weekend where he visited Epilepsy SA’s shop in Breë Street, to encourage the public to support Tekkie Tax. Tekkie Tax is one of the largest fundraising efforts in support of 250 organisations covering animal care, the elderly, people with disabilities, people with cancer and daycare centres.

This year’s postponal of Tekkie Tax due to the Covid-19 lockdown, had a devastating effect on the local Epilepsy SA centre, and many other welfare organisations who depend on this money to help those who cannot help themselves, says centre director, Gary Westwood. Gary had the priviledge of celebrating his birthday Saturday with Happy.

The new date for Tekkie Tax is 31 July 2020, but the need is now. Call Hubre at 072 093 2862, to place your order for T-shirts, stickers, badges and laces to support Tekkie Tax. Or you can share a hug for only R20. To donate visit https://tekkietax.org/?ref=61
