The Sipho Dinku Foundation initiated a clean-up and a splash of colour at the taxi rank in Parys. The project was completed on 24 September as a Heritage Day thank-you gesture to the Kutiwano Taxi Association.
Sipho and his group of volunteers from the Viva Filling Station in Tumahole, together with members of NgwatheRA, started at 06:00 in the morning before commuters began to arrive. Firstly a big clean-up operation had to be performed to clear the area so the “artists” had a clean canvas to paint on. The result speaks for itself. A word of thanks to Viva Filling Station for sponsoring the paint, and to Coastal for donating the leafblower.
