A 40-year-old male skydiver on his first solo jump sustained an injury to his ankle following a hard landing on Sunday morning 21 July at 10:38.

Netcare 911 responded to reports of the incident at a farm between Deneysville and Refengkgotso.

The patient was found to be in a stable condition and once treated he was transported by Netcare 911 ambulance to hospital for further assessment.
