Kollegepark kidnapping: Accused wants to bring second bail application

Thabelo Tshitaka, lawyer for the third accused, Pieter van Zyl, told magistrate Hussein Khota that Van Zyl wants to bring a new bail application based on new facts.

Bail was previously denied to both Van Zyl and alleged mastermind, Tharina Human.

The fourth accused, Bofoleng Molemohi, abandoned his bail application, while one of the accused, Laetitia Nel is currently out on bail.

The state is still awaiting a trial date in the High Court.

David Mey, legal representative for Human, said an aspect of DNA evidence still needed to be submitted by the state.
