23-Year old arrested for posession of drugs
The suspect was arrested for possession of drugs and is expected to appear before the Parys Magistrate Court soon on charges of possession of drugs.
The Tumahole Crime Prevention Unit (Relief A) arrested a 23-year-old man for possession of drugs on July 28 while conducting a stop and search operation as part of pro-active policing.
Upon searching the man, police discovered that he was in possession of 50 small plastic bags of nyaope, 40 small plastic bags containing suspected crystal meth, three small plastic bags containing quarter mandrax tablets, and three small plastic bags containing full mandrax tablets. The drugs are estimated to have a street value of R2800.
