As part of the Safer Festive Season initiative, the Fezile Dabi District, in partnership with traffic authorities and the Department of Agriculture, conducted a multidisciplinary roadblock on the N1 on Friday.

The operation aimed to enhance motorist safety and enforce compliance by:
– Searching for stolen property and vehicles
– Identifying undocumented persons and vehicles with suspicious documentation
– Checking for unlicensed firearms and other prohibited items
– Preventing stock theft and verifying livestock documentation
– Verifying vehicle roadworthiness and driver licenses
– Educating drivers on road safety and promoting responsible driving behavior
