Daring to Care for Cancervive

Cancervive has actively engaged, educated, and raised awareness among 612,319 South Africans face to face over the past 14 years.

In the spirit of Freedom Day on 27 April, the Cancervive Biker Community (CBC) will be riding to Parys for an unforgettable Breakfast Ride at the Eiffel Waffle House on the main street of Parys. The aim – celebrating life, promoting cancer awareness, and riding in solidarity towards a cancer-free world.
The Johannesburg group will meet at the R59 Engen Blockhouse at 09:00, and the Pretoria group at the R21 Engen Highveld 1 Stop at 08:00. Both groups will then ride together from the R59 Engen Blockhouse to Parys, arriving at 10:00 at the Eiffel Waffle House in Breë Street, Parys.
About Cancervive
Cancervive is a South African non-profit organisation committed to creating impactful awareness and educating communities about cancer as a disease. They focus on rural and underserved areas of South Africa, where information about cancer is not readily available or accessible. The organisation has a survivor-driven approach, aimed at dispelling myths, breaking social stigmas, and providing information.
They encourage early cancer detection and prevention, sharing available support sources.
What sets Cancervive apart is that this group of supporters and survivors is not only deeply passionate about cancer education and awareness, but also united by their love for motorcycles. They use their bikes as a unique tool to reach areas that would otherwise be difficult to access.
The motorcycles capture attention, drawing in crowds and sparking curiosity. Once the crowd gathers, the real work begins – educating people about the importance of early cancer detection.
Many are astonished to learn that a significant number of the Cancervivers are themselves cancer survivors, able to share their personal journeys and the powerful message that early detection can save lives.
Their presence on these bikes isn’t just about a ride – it’s a powerful outreach effort to spread awareness, connect with communities, and make a real difference.

Their efforts span across seven languages, and they have travelled more than 31,000 kilometres on motorcycles, reaching communities in all nine provinces.
The Cancervive journey began with a dynamic group of breast cancer survivors – driven by the inspiration to spread a message of hope.
