Plea for urgernt maintenance of park

Mbele says the park has also become a danger to residents and a hotspot for dangerous activity.

The Democratic Alliance (DA) in Ngwathe will write to the municipal manager and area manager to demand urgent attention to the condition of the only park in Heilbron that has been vandalised for more than 15 years and entirely neglected by the municipality.
“It has come to my attention now that the park has been used for church services because it has not been used for the right purpose,” says Cllr Josephe Mbele.
Mbele sayd the municipality has long forgotten about the park and left it for anyone to do as they please. “This park was the only park given to the community of Heilbron, with everything that old and young might need to play and relax.”
Mbele says the park has also become a danger to residents and a hotspot for dangerous activity.
The community has been asking questions about this place for years, but they have not received a proper answer, Mbele concludes.
