For the past two years the national flag at the Parys District Hospital has been in a terrible state. This was brought under the attention of a resident, Mr JP de Villiers, who decided to make a difference in his community by donating a new flag to replace the flag that was torn and faded over years.
This kind gesture was welcomed by the hospital CEO, Me Malinga, and her staff. Me Malinga expressed her appreciation saying that their request for a new flag in the past has fallen on deaf ears. Now they can continue proudly raising the flag at the hospital every morning.
