Blocked ID numbers to be addressed

Supporting documents will be necessary to help verify you identity the department said.

The Department of Home Affairs has launched a nationwide campaign to assist individuals whose IDs were blocked before November 2022.

Affected persons are encouraged to visit their nearest Home Affairs office and submit representations explaining why their ID should be unblocked before July 10, 2026. Failure to do so may result in the cancellation of the affected identity number.
