A lot of activity here at Makgoe Street – here’s what is happening

Amazing work done in the Parys Wetland area.. See the change as this area is slowly becoming a beautiful park.

Early this morning willing hands and friendly smiles were seen at the entrance to the Parys Wetland area at Makgoe Street where a clean-up campaign is held.

Come show your support – whether you join them in person, giving a wave or hooting as you pass by.

They are contributing to a cleaner wetland, removing the rubbish that chokes our wetland, so this wetland can be restored to a space that belongs to the whole community.

The change made by the dedicated Parys Wetland Park committee members, supported by Sasol and Damlaagte Solar, is immense. Hundreds of people moving through the wetland are taking notice and commends the work done here.

Please do your part to keep the wetland clean by not dumping building rubble, or household and garden waste in the wetland.

Thank you to all supporters, inluding Sourdough Bakery for helping to nourish and encourage the workers today.
