Rand Water assured its customers and stakeholders that the quality and supply of water have not been
affected, following a cybersecurity incident.

Rand Water in a statement said water treatment processes and quality control systems continue to operate normally,

The Water supplier added that regular water quality monitoring and rigorous testing remain in place to ensure that the organisation continues to deliver safe, bulk potable water that complies with the South African National Standards (SANS) 241 for drinking water.

“Our core water delivery mandate continues uninterrupted and we are committed to restoring full
system functionality as quickly as possible.”

Rand Water concluded that it remains committed and focused on its mandate of delivering reliable bulk potable water services to all customers.
