The Rotary Club of Parys in conjunction with the Rotary Club of Vereeniging and Matt’s Foundation distributed blankets to the needy around Parys, Tumahole and Schonkenville.
These blankets were a gift from Matt’s Foundation, a charity dedicated to making a difference in the lives of underprivileged children in the Vaal Triangle. They were given to the Rotary Club of Vereeniging, on condi-tion that some had to be distributed in the Free State.
One hundred and ninety blankets were received and distributed. Earlier this year, Rotary distributed almost 1 000 pairs of shoes to children as part of the TOMS Shoes project.
