Father and two sons die in raging shack fire – Family needs help with food for the funeral

Last Friday night, the fire department found three badly burnt bodies of Moleko Lephadi (30), Pule Macleod (7) and Baratile Macleod (6) lying among the scorched remains of the shack in Ext. 3, Sarafina.

The Ikageng SAPS spokesperson, Const. Kelebogile Trom says no one knows what might have caused the fire. ‘A case of inquest has been opened at the police station,’ she said.

Kenalemang Ntitane says the family needs all the help they can get to bury their loved ones. They have already organised coffins for the funeral that will be held at 7875 Itumeleng Street in Sarafina this Saturday. ‘We would appreciate it so much if the communities of Potchefstroom could assist with food for the funeral,’ she said.
