The Hawks in the North West are searching for five suspects aged between 22 and 58 for their alleged involvement in a tender scam that took place in 2017 in Mahikeng.

According to Capt. Tlangelani Rikhotso it is alleged that the group swindled R1.8 Million from the complainant by pretending to have a tender to build RDP houses in Wolmaranstad.
‘The complainant was allegedly informed to deposit portions of the R1.8 Million into different bank accounts, thereafter the complainant would allegedly be awarded a tender worth R167 Million.
‘Subsequent to making the deposits, the complainant allegedly discovered that the tender didn’t exist.
‘The Hawks urge anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of the suspects to contact the Investigating Officer, Warrant Officer Strydom on 082 337 8677, she said.
