On her way building the best career yet to come

Her dream is to be a star and perform on stage, TV and on the silver screen. She wants to study performing arts and fashion design and, one day, run her own performing arts and fashion design school.

An aspiring young performing artist and model from Potchefstroom is on her way to Orlando Florida to take part in an international event.
Kiana Koekemoer (12) will take part in the Applause Rising Talent Showcase (ARTS) under the auspices of Kim Myers, a well-known international scout in the USA from 23 to 29 July.
She will be dancing, acting and modelling in front of top agents, managers and casting directors in the industry and will get to meet, learn from, perform in front of and be interviewed by scouts from leading brands in Los Angeles, Orlando, New York, Chicago, Atlanta, and Miami.
Performing is her life.
Kiana started dancing and acting classes at the age of seven and competed in the International Fine Arts Association (IFAA) South African Championships from 2013 to 2016. She scored Diamond Team (above 95 per cent) in all her dance genres every single year.
During the 2016 IFAA (International Fine Arts Association) South African Championship finals, Kiana earned the trophy for the overall junior (3-14 years) winner in dance and the trophy for the overall winner (all ages) in acrobatic dance.
In 2017, she toured with IFAA to the International Championships in Namibia and was again proclaimed the runner-up in the overall junior dance.
In 2018, while still preparing for the coming Arts contest in Orlando, she quickly participated in the SA Championships of Performing Arts (SACOPA) and received five gold medals and one silver for dance.
While she made the SA Team to participate in the World Championships of Performing Arts (WCopa) in Los Angeles this month, she had to turn it down because of her prior commitments with Arts 2018 in Orlando.
Her dream is to be a star and perform on stage, TV and on the silver screen. She wants to study performing arts and fashion design and, one day, run her own performing arts and fashion design school.
Kiana is prepared to work hard to achieve and fulfil her dream.
This opportunity to showcase her talents in America is part of her career-building journey and we wish her all the best.
