The Ikageng police have arrested a man for allegedly raping a 63-year-old woman in Ext. 11 Baipei last Saturday.
According to Sgt Kelebogile Trom, the Ikageng police spokesperson, the woman was sleeping in the shack with her two grandchildren.
‘Before she went to sleep she had made sure that the door was locked. While asleep, she suddenly woke up to find someone raping her.
It turned out to be her daughter’s boyfriend. She questioned his actions and he left,’ she reported.
Trom says the police later arrested the suspect.
Suspect allegedly rapes toddler (3) at grandmother’s house
In another incident, a mother discovered that her toddler (3) was allegedly raped in Promosa last Monday.
According to Trom, the mother of the child says her daughter suddenly became ill and complained that her genitalia was sore just after midnight on Monday. ‘Upon inspection, the mother noticed some cuts and a discharge. The daughter confirmed to her mother that someone had raped her.’
It is likely that the suspect raped the child while she was visiting the complainant’s mother over the weekend.
The police are still looking for the suspect,’ said Trom.
