A Phase 1 Eskom cable was stolen on Tuesday (10 November) evening and has resulted in areas in Ventersdorp without electricity. According to William Maphosa, the local municipality spokesperson, this incident has also affected water supply across the town, however, the matter has been reported and will be attended to. “The municipality regrets this occurrence and it’s interacting with Eskom to ensure that the situation is brought to normal as soon as possible,” said Maphosa.
