Tragedy as boy drowns

An 8 year old boy from Sarafina location in Ikageng was declared dead on the scene after the SAPS divers found the body inside a hole full of water near the Sarafina Taxi rank on Friday, 21 January.  Less than a week ago, on Saturday, 15 January 2022 another 14 year-old boy also drowned from the same place and was declared dead on the scene. "I would like to urge all parents to be extra vigilant and more cautious on where their kids are playing. Parents should also strictly warn their kids not to go play near the whole full of water near the Sarafina Taxi Rank," says Colonel Myburgh, NW Police spokesperson. Colonel Myburgh further confirmed that an inquest of the two cases are being investigated.
