Municipality to tackle water issue

In a statement relesed by the municipality on Saturday, 19 Febuary 2022, they noted they are aware of the circulating information related to calling the quality of the water currently being supplied into question.

“We are undertaking urgent quality tests through our laboratory and are also engaging independent service providers to assist in this regard.” the statement read.

Meanwhile, residents are advised to take the necessary precautionary measures and boil the water and cool it down if they were to consume it. The municipality adds that tests are in process and a report back to the public will be provided as soon as is practically possible.
