Trio arrested after fatal stabbing and attack in Promosa
Three men have been arrested following a fatal stabbing and violent attack in Promosa.
An investigation is underway after Lyle-Cart Opperman (26) was attacked and killed by three men in Promosa last week Friday. The police were called to the Promosa Clinic, where Opperman was found with multiple stab wounds and head injuries.
He was declared dead at the clinic. According to the police, Opperman was stabbed several times with a sharp object, pelted with stones, and his car was damaged during the attack. Opperman was sitting in his car with friends, when they were attacked by the trio.
Three suspects were arrested in connection with the incident: Mafa Jacob Jonker (22), Edward Tshepo Diedericks (21), and a 17-year-old minor. All three appeared in court on November 4 and are being held in custody until their next appearance. The minor has been transferred to a youth detention facility.
