JB Marks revenue offices to close early on Tuesday
Municipal spokesperson Jeanette Tshite said the closure is an administrative measure linked to the start of the new financial year.
Residents making use of municipal payment points in the JB Marks Local Municipality are urged to make alternative arrangements as all municipal revenue offices will close at midday on Tuesday, June 30.
The temporary closure is to allow the municipality to prepare for the commencement of the 2026/2027 financial year.
The early closure will affect the Promosa Revenue Office, Ikageng Revenue Office, Ventersdorp Revenue Office, as well as all licensing and traffic pay points.
Municipal spokesperson Jeanette Tshite said the closure is an administrative measure linked to the start of the new financial year.
“All Municipal Revenue Offices will close at 12:00 on Tuesday, June 30, in preparation for the commencement of the 2026/2027 financial year. We encourage residents to make use of the alternative payment channels available during this period,” she said.
Residents can still make municipal payments at Boxer Stores, Shoprite, Pep Stores and Pick n Pay, or by using Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT).
Tshite added that prepaid electricity vouchers will remain available from authorised electricity vendors and that normal municipal services will resume in accordance with the municipality’s operational schedule.
“We sincerely appreciate the understanding and cooperation of residents during this period,” she said.
