NWU Pukke looked like well-oiled machine in their Varsity Netball match against the University of Johannesburg which they won 77-37  at the UJ Imbizo Hall on Sunday, 11 September.

Pukke who were fresh from a close 41-32 win against Maties, upped the ante for their second encounter, with no mercy being shown for their opponents in an absolutely dominant display.

All the gears shifted perfectly during game as Pukke seemed to enjoy attacking UJ in sixth gear for most of the match. The first quarter score of 19-5 also justified Pukke’s superiority.

Pukke’s Mandy Hermanus gained the FNB player of the match award for her fine efforts against the orange clad ladies from Johannesburg.

Pukke next face a much tougher challenge against the University of Free State (Kovsies) today (Monday, 12 September) in their third match of the campaign.

The match will kick-off at 17:30 and is live on Supersport 210.
